Lompoc Fire Department

The Lompoc Fire Department (LFD) is an all-risk fire protection agency that covers almost 12 sq/mi and a population of over 45,000. The LFD is comprised of 30 personnel operating out of two fire stations, with 29 sworn and 1 non-sworn.

Through a constant staffing model, the LFD staffs two fire engines, one rescue unit and a battalion chief 24/7. As part of the California Master Mutual Aid Plan, the LFD responds fire engines and individual resources to wildland fires and natural disasters year-round.

The department averages over 4,600 responses a year, making it one of the busiest fire departments per-capita in Santa Barbara County.
